How do you think Clemson football would do in the SEC? They'd have more money, more resources with the greater SEC TV money and they wouldn't be losing kids they are now that want to play in the SEC not the ACC. Your thoughts?

As for historically, how they've done against SEC teams:

About like the game cocks… they would be stupid leaving a conference where most of their games are scrimmages… they have an easier path of the playoffs, where they are right now…

Depends on who their QB is. Watson and Lawrence would and did give any caliber teams fits. But they have dropped off in talent with their front 7 on D and with their skill positions since those days. In my opinion, at least.

Well...they have oneof top HCs in CF....i know many on here dont like DABO....but he is an excellent recruiter....runs good program... he really is going to have to get use to changes ( the portal...nil). If he is going to remain top tier...

Couple of mediocre years has dampened his star...

Right now...top tier is texas..bama...uga..

Level 2 is lsu..Tennessee...where i would put...... clemson.....

Dabo n Kirby are only 2 with NC rings... both with 2....

If and when Clemson does replace Dabo, it better be someone that played at Bama and won a National Championship too!

They would struggle. He can recruit against Boston College, Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest, NC State, Syracuse, and Georgia Tech based on success against them, but could he honestly recruit against Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas, Oklahoma, LSU, and Tennessee based on success against them? Clemson would be slap dab in the middle of the SEC, fighting to be 9-3, but more 8-4 range.

No development with anyone lately. Shipley was supposed to be the next big thing, as was Beaux Collins, Joe Ngata, and even Klubnik hasn't performed at the level he was recruited. Defense, they have recruited well in regard to high school rankings, but those guys outside of Myles Murphy really never showed up. Barrett Carter is a player, but one standout can't set the team. We haven't heard much out of Clemson lately, because there hasn't been anything to talk about, until Dabo decides to kick the dust up to get in the papers.
