After reading quite a few negative postings since about the first lost, I'm wondering who thinks many in the Bama nation will meltdown much like the LSU fanbase at Tigerdroppings? Will someone actually buy the firenicksaban.com url? How many will call for Applewhite's head because playcalling wasn't perfect?

I'm not satisfied in the least, but I think patience will pay big dividends. I really am curious at this point to see who comes out of the woodwork to tell Applewhite that they would've "double-bagged it' like that Brett Favre commercial, and how many will say Saban has 'lost control'

Here's to hoping that we have more rational folks in Bama than lynch mobs at the turn of the century. Moreso, I hope Miles and Tubbs stick around because payback is a B*&^$! :D

where have you been? All this stuff has been posted over and over by the usual suspects the last few weeks. These so-called fans will continue with their negative crap until the ship turns around and then will no doubt jump on board and be roll tiding with the rest of us again. :roll:
 
No meltdowns here. Some questions need be answered and issues settled, but I doubt that comes as any surprise to Coach Saban. :wink:

not trying to be negative -- just made the mistake of reading some links from al.com this week. Okay, I'm better now. :?
 
I certainly have some negative thoughts about this coaching staff, and a person who has those thoughts should air them out, if he/she thinks it can be substantiated. My negative feelings are that more emphasis should have been placed on getting an alternative to our starting QB ready to play. That was a piece of the puzzle that was missing all year, and nothing seemed to be done about it.

I know, I know. "If McElroy had been better, he would've been playing..." Blah, blah. I disagree wit that statement. There were times when sitting the starter for ONE SERIES might have benefitted, because leaving him in seemed to result in disaster.

But the coaching staff and the QB aren't whose feet that all these losses and poor performances should be laid at. And Mike Shula doesn't bear all the blame either. No sir. This comes down to undertalented, undersized players giving their all, but just not being able to compete. This comes down to the few, SEC caliber players on the roster who either cashed it in or wouldn't give 100% all the time.

These are the things that happen to a program when it gets the treatment that the NCAA gave us. Say what you want. The sanctions were handed down nearly 6 years ago now, and we are still paying for it. Hell, I'll make the argument that we're still feeling some effects from those sanctions that were handed down in 1995. Later, overturned, might I add.

Lots of blame to go around, but the NCAA got what they wanted: to put 'Bama "out of business".

We're on the right track to getting it back. But it's going to take the kind of stability and recruiting that brought LSU back to dominance, and we know who's responsible for that.
 
No meltdowns here. All the haters need to get off the mans back, this is his 1st year and i believe Bama fans will see a much better team in the next year/or two. Let him get his recruits and players in there to fit his style of football.
 
If a "meltdown" was going to happen. Don't you think ULM would have been the place.

Although going 6-6 wasn't my idea of a good season, but I knew we were not going to play for a title either.
 
Truedat optimus, I looked like a pimp-beaten hooker on Sepulveda Blvd myself after that ULM game. It just scares me to hear people calling for CNS to change his staff 4 games into the season, BOT guys calling coaches in the middle of the night, and the various other rants this year from our crimson-clad worshippers. I know, I know... there are bad ones in every bunch. For the record, this board is pretty solid.

ROFL you know it although DT L.A. where at the ladys are at I have a 7 am class I see some dandys in the morn back to subject.

I remember at the start of the season I thought we might win 8, but I'd have to say this season was disappointing. I guess I got caught up in all the hype. As for the board it is sweet can't beat it's the only one I post one. For the most part I can't stand the RTARDS that run the others. Although there are a few other goods out there. Some have freaking psychos on them! Anyone calling CNS job would fall IMO under the RTARD category!

Also I was thinking about 8 wins this year myself.
 
Pre-season expectations: anywhere from 6-9 wins, 6 or 7 being the most predicted.

What we're looking at: 6 or 7 wins.
 
I think we'll be fine as soon as Nick gets some more of his own players in here, the kind that will always give it their all.

This is Saban's FIRST year, cool off with the negative junk, or become an Barn fan!

I can't wait until year 3 under Saban, we should be a national power by then!
 
Did anyone listen to the pre-game show? For those kids to bring up the issues that were discussed in the pre-game show, that tells me we have negative things going on within our team (to put it mildly). AND if our players are discussing it with the media, it is a BIG problem. How will it be fixed? Stay tuned this summer to see if your favorite player is part of the problem or part of the solution. The kids that think they could have played anywhere in the country, and they were doing Alabama a favor....they will be GONE, imo. The kids that have all of the redeeming qualities of an Alabama football player...they will be the only ones left. The kids that endure the pain and punishment, just to put on the jersey....they will be the foundation for the Alabama football program for years to come. ROLL TIDE!

He had 3 months before the season to get the team ready. I cant wait to see what next years team looks like. :)
