🏈 Who is your sleeper team in the SEC for this season, and why?

I believe Arkansas is going to shock several and it's because they've forgotten Odom is a pretty good defensive coordinator. His early Missou defensive line play was among the better ones in the SEC.

I will go with UK in the East and the cow college in the West. Of course it would be my hope that the barn falls sound asleep and even out of the bed. Ole Miss is getting some hype so they really can't be in that sleeper group.

New Coach, not hearing much about them, expectation from the masses are low.... and no, not Auburn .... South Carolina.

Going with Kentucky also this season. Coach Stoopes continues to build yearly at UK. If they can pull an upset and win the games they are supposed to win, it will be a good year on the Bourbon Trail.

I think Ole Miss finds a way to win more games this year. They got the offense and the play caller, so I'm thinking this year Lane finds a way to help his defense and score more points/create longer possessions to win games.

For Drink to go 5-5 in his first year there? .500 isn't good until you start considering the circumstances they went through in 2020.

If you'll recall, they played Bama and LSU last season—A&M and Arkansas this season. They catch the Aggies at home the week after they play Bama.

I can see a 6-0 start going into A&M. A win against the Aggies and they could be 8-0 going to Athens with UF and UofSC visiting the next two weeks.

Probably Ole Miss. Their offense will continue to improve with Kiffin. In the other direction, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the real Coach Ogre is even more exposed and LSU ends up a .500 team.

We're still in 2021. A little ahead of yourself with Texas as a sleeper team in the SEC.

I don’t know if I’d call them a sleeper per se, but I’m still intrigued at what Leach is going to field at Mississippi State. I can see him getting crafty and being a thorn in the side for an unsure program (looking at you LSU and Auburn). It would tickle me to no end to see another presser of his after besting Orgeron again.

I think Ole Miss will be one of the top teams in the conference overall because we know what the offense can do already and I think the D will be a bit better (it can't be much worse.). In the east, don't sleep on South Carolina, Beamer brings some much needed energy to the program and there isn't a lot of talk coming out of Columbia. Something's cooking up.
Should be a fun year and, as always, it will be better if Bama stays on top of it all. Roll Tide !!!

My money would be on MS State. More comfort with Leach’s system, the major playmakers at the end of last season were freshman (recruited for the Leach offense) and a defense that has a lot of growing room.
