Overthinking, leads to mental mistakes on assignments. While his responsibility is to block one gap, he's looking at others. He doesn't have the mental discipline at this point.

It can be "coached," it's how long it takes to register.

Speaks to how raw he was out of high-school. If I'm not mistaken he only played football for two years. Story like Latham.
