:td:it has been a while since i have seen such a great and deep group of linebackers at Alabama. i had been thinking about this since last year and wanted to comment on it and see what you guys thought.

i don't know what you guys watch when we're on defense, but i look at the LBs. i love to watch them shoot a gap and pop some snot-bubble hits.

it makes me wish we could get a piece of florida this coming season. i think what the defensive coaches have been working on with more LB type bodies on the field against the spread will have a profound impact on the college game over the next 10 years.

I like what I'm seeing develop, but I don't see our linebacking corps as "there" yet. Specifically, in terms of depth.

If you look behind Ro and Dont'a, who do we have for a quality backup? I know we can slide Reamer over if need be, but assuming we leave him as the outside backer we are looking at Jordan (who is still learning the position) and Higgenbotham.

Realistically, I see the need to sign four more for the class of 2010, and then four more again.
