I caught a comment from "Fritzy" (Todd Fritz, The DP show) a few days ago that ran along these lines.

"You can spell elite without Eli."

Dawns on me—probably due to my sense of humor that can only be described as eccentric—you can't spell feline without Eli as well.

Are you asking yourself, "Did Terry just call Eli a ______?"

Synonymous. What Eli will be in regards to Ole Miss, Peyton to UT...no matter which team they play for now.

I'll never forget seeing Peyton lead the band in Rocky Top at Legion Field. I'll also never forget Eli in his "drunken stupors" going from frat house to frat house at the Capstone when he was playing in Oxford.

There are a few SEC rivals players who are in the NFL I've supported over the years.

A few.

Huge Giants fan here. I think Eli has done a tremendous job this year. He's come a long way from his early years, even back in 2007 when they had their last Super Bowl.

Very excited for the game. I just watched XLII again yesterday in preparation.

It would be great since Bama won theirs and now the Giants win also. ;)

I don't follow any particular team in the NFL. I do follow individual players. Take the Ravens. I watched Jerrett closely this season when I did watch the NFL. (you know he's started 110+ consecutive games? He was a hoss for us) Then there's TC, etc.

Giants? There's isn't a player on that team from Bama. I do see UT, UArk, UGA, LSU...

As soon as the NFL gets back to playing real football—have my doubts that'll happen—I may pick a team again.
