I'm so mad right now I could eat nails. Funny thing is though, I'm not shocked by this.

So I'm going to the game right? Parking at the Rose Bowl is going to be a big hassle, so I elect to try and get some kind of parking pass. I go to the Tide ticket office, order one of their passes, get it in the mail, and everything is good right?

Of course not. This is UA. It's never that easy.

My parking pass is fine, minus the large BCS National Championship Game logo that appears on the top 1/3 of the placard.

:shock::shock::shock:

The problem is, there's no time to do anything about it, other than purchase another pass and let them credit me once I mail the first one back to them. Of course, I sent them money once already, and have learned that they're far too incompetent in that office to actually be trusted, so no way am I sending more.

I go round and round on the phone today with the supervisor over there and it was just a complete disaster. The lady had the audacity to tell me that she was trying to work with me. I'm like......"you sent me an invalid parking pass! You cannot be serious!!!!!!" But they're trying to work with me by having me just through hoops because the people that work in the office are too stupid to mail out a parking pass correctly.

And people wonder why Alabama can't stay off probation? When you can't get routine stuff like mailing out the correct ticket right, God help you as an organization.

That is par for the course with them. That is another area where Nick Saban needs to extend his "processing" to. Junior colleges and Div III schools have better, more efficiently run ticket offices than UA does. I've not had a gazillion dealings with them, but I've had more than most, and a good percentage of those situations were very unpleasant experiences because of their ineptness.

I was damn near shocked today when the girl found my BCS parking pass after about a 5 minute search. I just hate that it interrupted her Subway lunch. Best part? An hour after I picked it up, some kid from the ticket office called and left a message on my voice mail asking if I was going to be home tomorrow so that they could overnight my BCS parking pass. Yeah, the one I just picked up. Morons.

Just to make sure I'm understanding this correctly...

You are going to the game, one we haven't been to in 17 years, and you are pissed off about a parking pass? :rofl:

I'm with you Chop.
I had my parking spot taken for the Fiesta Bowl. I got up to go get a drink and the cat was sitting in my spot on the sofa when I returned.
:rofl:

The trouble is that so much of what we go through in dealing with the US is because we deal with students who are on Work/Study programs. Its equal parts "not wanting to be there" and "their still kids". We could get better service, but that would cost. I imagine the lady you spoke with spent most of here day cleaning up messes for the UA.

Well, Rose Bowl parking is supposed to be a severe (insert explative here). But Terry, it's the principle of the matter. How can you be so incompetent as to not to get a parking pass sent out correctly? I mean, come on. And then make me jump through hoops because you screwed up? Now it's my fault?

It's like Brandon was saying, they don't have a clue as to what there doing in that office.

Anyway. We'll figure it out when we get there. What we could do is park somewhere in a neighborhood and pay some of the local illegals to actually guard the vehicle instead of strip it. :lol:;)

Porkchop, you ever delat with UAB people? Those have got to be the most incompetent people on the earth. I took some classes there back in the mid 90's and I had to be escorted out twice by campus police because they scheduled a meeting with me and then once I took off work to meet them, they were busy and told me that we couldn't meet. These people get paid to be in there and they aren't going to school at all.
