Sure its a big rivalry this year, atleast for lsu fans it is, but do you guys see this being a big rivalry in the future? I just dont ever see it comparing to the third sat in october, or the iron bowl. Its a good rivalry but i just dont ever see it being a huge rivalry, i think it will die down in a few years.

Just wondering what every1 thinks

After this year its not going to be a huge deal. but since Bama will be getting better as the years go on...if Auburn doesnt get better, LSU would be a better game. But we always will hate AUBURN!!!!

It's always been a pretty big game, just not quite as big as the one with the Viles or the Barners. Two years ago it was certainly hhuge because we were undefeated going into it. The importance of this one, though, depends on the qquality of the two teams. UT and the Barn are important regardless.

BUT thinking about it....i think that as time goes on...if year after year this game decides the SEC West then the game will be bigger. But untill this is the Game that makes or breaks our season it will not be as intense as Auburn or TENN.

Just give it 20 more years and Every SEC game will be a hatred Rivalry

I don't think it would take that long!

I don't see this being a big rivalry after this year. Just another SEC game...

Everybody wants to beat BAMA. When a team has dominated an opponent or league like BAMA has traditionally you want to knock them off.

Kentucky in basketball is the team everybody gets an extra thrill in beating.

Things will return back to normal over the next few years should we begin to dominate the SEC again.

What's interesting is the records between both schools and their respective home turf. Both teams fair better to win on the road (statistically) against the other than at home IIRC. Interesting how that has panned out over the years.

If we do win this year by the grace of God, I think next year will be even worse as it will be Sabans return to Baton Rouge. After that, I expect it to die down exponentially.
