-Cincinnati is looking very hard at taking Andre Smith with their first pick. If they decide to pass on him, it is highly unlikely that he will slide past Oakland (who has the next pick at #7), or Jacksonville (8th pick) who has had former BAMA Coach Mike Shula pushing Coach Jack Del Rio hard to take him.
-Like has been said before, if Rashad was just a little bigger, he'd be a lock as a top 40 pick. IMO, like DeMeco, he is going to slide down some, but turn out to be a gem for a team (though not quite on the level of Ryans). DeMeco is mentioned though because that may just be his teammate in the NFL. The Texans are VERY interested in Rashad, and if he's still on the board when Houston comes to the podium in round 3, I bet they grab him. Problem is, others really covet Rashad too, and I doubt he is still up for the taking in the middle of the third round. The Jets, Dolphins, and Bears are just a few of the teams thought to be in the mix for him too.
-Antoine Caldwell is a guy that some teams are very high on. There isn't a great crop of interior linemen to pick from, and that should help him. I think he is a first day selection, and it will be interesting to see if he is off the board before or after Rashad. It will also be interesting to see if he ends up in Cincy... with Andre? Could very well happen. Rounds 3 and 4 are the target rounds for Caldwell. I'll go on record and say late in the 3rd he gets grabbed. Other than the Bengals, the Vikings, Patriots, Browns, and Ravens are all very interested in Caldwell.
-Glen Coffee is hard to peg in this year's draft. While it isn't an excellent crop of running backs to pick from, it is a very deep crop. The sheer number of guys could hurt Coffee some, but on the other hand, talent wise, not much separates him from the top tier guys. Some teams think very highly of Coffee, while others have him a little lower on the board. Depending on how it works out, he could conceivably be a very late 2nd rounder, or a late 6th rounder. I think he falls somewhere in the middle, say mid 4th round. The Giants, Saints, Broncos, and Patriots are a few of the teams to watch with regard to Coffee.
-Travis McCall and Nick Walker are both probably headed the FA route, but either could be taken very late by someone. At one time, the Falcons were very interested in McCall (long before the acquisition of Tony Gonzalez this week). The Ravens, Browns, Redskins, Broncos have also expressed interest in the versatile tight end. As for Walker, things have been more quiet with him. I'm not sure who all is high on him, but I would think that Ozzie Newsome and the Ravens have been keeping a close watch.
-I'd be shocked if John Parker Wilson is drafted. He'll get a look as a FA if he wants one, and hopefully he'll make the most of it. He just didn't make the most of his opportunities with the Sr. Bowl practices and the NFL Combine. The good news however, it is a poor class of QB's, so he didn't look as bad as he would have in most years.
-Marlon Davis and Bobby Greenwood will get a chance via FA contracts. Several teams are intrigued by Davis, and he'll have some options to choose from.
