🏈 Two stats about A&M that are...well, you read...

Evans has more receiving yards than 35 FBS teams.

Manziel, despite missing a half, has accrued 1137 total yards. That's more than 65 other FBS schools.

Would almost be unthinkable to not vote him Heisman if he can keep up the pace...

He had a career day against a coaching staff that planned all year for him. Sure there were some mistakes, some lucky catches/plays (see stats last year, he's not a one hit wonder).

I don't know that I would say JM is the best QB I have ever seen play, but he is certainly the most athletic - and without a doubt the most frustrating to play against.

While he showed his ability, yet again, you have to give Mike Evans more credit than anyone on the Aggie team. Manziel threw the ball up for grabs more than I've ever seen in one game, and luckily his behemoth 6'5 receiver came down with it. Manziel did not impress me at all except from getting away from Pagan that one time when he launched the ball into space and it landed in his receiver's hands. Alabama contained him for the most part, and that's why we did not get beat. His performance in my eyes was way short of last year's game and his stats were by way of Evans and a defense that was playing safe and not giving up the big one while allowing the medium stuff all second half. It reminded me of Eli Manning against Dallas in Week 1 or a couple of games where last year he played from behind and threw for 500 yards in a losing effort with three-four picks. I had him for Fantasy and it was nice, but still a crappy performance outside the numbers. I'm guess I'm just tired of the media sucking Manziel off and acting like it was all him and no one else on that team, which was not the truth. Don't get me wrong, he's a hell of a player, but he did not carve up our defense like everyone is saying.

Seriously?

Did not impress you at all?

Dude had over 560 yards of offense... HIMSELF! He rushed for almost 100 yards - that alone is a rare feat against our defense. Then he threw the ball for 464 yards.

What the heck does he have to do to impress you? Sprout wings and fly away? Walk on water while singing "If I were a butterfly?"

Man up and admit that the guy is incredible!

This...

Gotta agree with Big_Fan, at some point you just tip your hate and say "that guys good." Yes he made some Denard Robinson-esque hail mary type throws that were pure luck in my eyes, but at the same time he was deadly accurate at times and his ability to scramble is what really kills you. To just dismiss what he did is ridiculous to me. Is he an arrogant, pompous, ass? Sure but hes also one hell of a football player.

I don't know what it is about the guy and how he's so elusive and fluid in the backfield (especially when the play falls apart), but he is dang fun to watch. I'm so glad we escaped that place with a win so that now I can sit back and, off-field distractions aside, watch that guy carve through a lot of good SEC teams.

Another point about his throwing it up for grabs when Pagan had his hands on him. It was third down and half a mile. So what if it were intercepted, that would have been as good as a punt at that point. It was luck that they kept the ball based off averages, but what did he have to lose at that point? Guy is good.....as much as I hate to admit it......dang good.

He impresses me with his play, with his luck and his guts, but he's still a douche. I'll give him all the props as a player, but he's a douche as a person... Just my .02

Anybody that dismisses his play on the field needs their eyes checked. Easily one of the best college qb's I have witnessed. I take nothing away from the guy, and frankly dont really think much about his off field issues either. He backs it up. I was equally impressed with AJ as well. AJ is by all accounts the best QB Bama has put out on the field, and his demeanor off the field is as good. We are lucky to have him represent our University.

JM is probably the best SEC qb I've ever seen considering everything he is capable of doing. I wouldn't like to be around him but, if we didn't have AJ, I'd like to have a qb with all his talents (and luck.)

The play went for 12 yards. So I don't see how that's as good as a punt:headscratch:

He might be speaking on where Manziel was when he threw it.....or how he threw it. That lob was basically a punt. How the hell not one Alabama defender did not come across and knock it down is beyond me. Luckiest son of a bitch in the world.

JM is the best college football player without a doubt! Evans was awesome too. You take JM off that team and they struggle to win 8-9 games. I am still disturbed by his actions off the field this past off season but I'll give him his props on the field! The kid can play!
