I need a mathematician to explain how Houston has a NET ranking of 6. I know it's an algorithm driven calculation but they have NO Q1 wins and 5 Q4 wins and three loses. It makes no sense to me.

NET is KenPom, with a little extra dressing. They do account or actual results but, like KP, weigh metrics far more than anything. Houston has been consistently efficient: for years.

Houston dropping six places in the NET before January is a big drop. If you consider the past, a loss has very little effect on NET vs one of the media polls. The only time it really comes into play is that last week of the season when teams are fighting for seeding: then, rarely. Bama had a taste of it last season flirting with a 1 seed.

Neutral site-Vegas: Bama loses to Oregon by two.
Neutral site-Bham: Bama beats Illinois by 13.

Last night: Illinois walked over Oregon, on the road, by 30+.

That Illini win looking better and better ...
I hate that we lost to Oregon and everything that transpired in that game. First, losing Wrightsell. Then the bull shit goal tending call that was upheld. And lastly, Sears having the awareness of a cold potato when it came to the game clock. Oh well. It'll pay dividends down the road.

Two wins that I doubt will help Alabama - Rutgers and North Carolina. Oof

Yeah, taking Oregon to Cover was unfortunate. Tge fastest bet I ever won was Jeremiah Smith Over 76 yards in the Rose Bowl. Only to be topped by fastest bet I ever lost in Oregon last night.

I think we were mentally spent in that Oregon game. Such a tough run of games.

Fifty-three brackets published. Nine have Bama as a 1 seed, one has the Tide as a three seed. (AU, UT, ISU, and Duke are projected as one seeds currently.)

I think we end up as a 3 seed personally. Florida just gave us a blue print on how to beat Tennessee, and Auburn gonna be a tough ask at Auburn, but a very good game in Tuscaloosa. Kentucky, Florida, and Georgia will be good tests for us, so I think we end up with 6-7 losses and either the last two seed or first three seed. Sure hope I'm wrong, just my thoughts.
