Can we please actually discuss the game (this one or the next one) and not just hurl insults? Really, that is the whole idea of this board...it's one of the reasons we have such good breakdowns of the competition and the game as a whole. We have always welcomed people from other schools with different views, but at least most of them come over and discuss all this before posting on the board. I'm really getting tired of these 12-year-olds getting on the computer and not really saying anything important. (And if any of you are older than 12, don't admit it...you seriously sound like a child.) If you want to discuss the game, discuss it. We'll listen. We may not always agree, but at least show a little class when you come onto another team's forum.

The trolls have been licking their chops for the past 2 weeks hoping we'd lose one of those games and it happened. I knew they'd come out from under their rocks as soon as the game was over. Let em troll...

I'm just sick of clicking on threads and finding nothing but stupid comments by people who have 1 total post. I actually like to read the posts by those who take the time to make them informative. I usually learn something about the other team's execution that I might have missed or not understood. Just tired of wasting my time. I'm also feeling just a LITTLE cranky right now. Been sick all day, not related to the game...food poisoning or something. So I'm double cranky. :-)

Sadly, I've read several post from "our" people that were um...well no comment. :frown:

I'll give you that. Some people had meltdowns over the loss, but many of them do contribute regularly. We just have different reactions to losing. I'm surprisingly, and eerily, calm about this loss. Maybe my husband slipped some Xanax into my coffee earlier...

Same here. I had prepared myself for it honestly bout mid way through the 3rd quarter. Not to mention I had a bad feeling about this game all week. No matter how much I listened and read that Bama would win this game with ease, I still had that feeling. It's a feeling I haven't had in a while either.

A friend of mine that watched the game with me today actually said the same thing. He is a big Bama fan and has been afraid about this game being a trap all year. He didn't really change his demeanor after the game at all, very calm. His attitude was "it was bound to happen sooner or later--you can't win out three straight years in the SEC." He seemed to hope the target being gone would lessen the load and help the team re-focus.

This game was the first game I circled on my schedule...and it happened. I wasn't at ease all week and didn't post during the week for that reason. After listening to CNS's pressers during the week and reading some of his comments it was almost like he was hinting the team, or a large portion of it, might of been riding the gravy train 'mentally'. I hope this loss was enough to jar those memories of what it feels like to lose. It seems like it's been forever since the loss to Utah.

just like the bama trolls didnt invade cocky talk either, huh?

*TROLL TIDE TROLL!!!!*

If Doe & Porter would make me a mod for about a week i'd take care of the troll problem.
I have a large yellow BAN HAMMER right here on my desk i'm just itching to use.

Anything below a 50 post count & didn't just JOIN the board in OCT 2010.....
get's the ban hammer after 1st post. IMO

the line from "Clear and Present Danger" seems fitting right now, at the beginning of the movie when the President of the US's close friend was killed on that boat, they were trying to determine how to deal with the media fallout. Harrison Ford's character Ryan, suggested them to hit it head on by not trying to dodge the friendship but rather hitting the media/press head on and giving them no place to go by saying something to the affect of, "we were the best of friends".

so my advice to all of you, stop feeding them. We got beat, no reason to go any other direction with anyone talking smack...we were whooped in SC yesterday plain and simple.

South Carolina just won the biggest game in the history of their football program. This regular season victory. Not a bowl game. Not a NC.

In SC football history, there are two highlights: last Saturday and a shared ACC championship in 1969. They started playing football in 1892, same as Bama, and in 118 years they have four bowl victories to show for it.

Let them bask. They are in uncharted waters. They've always been an overconfident bunch. I'm sure they'll handle success in the same ham-handed manner as their decades of insignificance.

RTR,

Tim
