I heard Gruden mention this on the broadcast last night. Jeff Rutledge. Of course, very limited starts since the eighties. Greg got a start in a loss, and maybe Brodie.

Terico claimed it was Rutledge in '87. I thought Brodie would have been the last one though. He started more than one game. He had to have had finished one with a W.

He played in a 2010 preseason game (as a Falcon) versus the Patriots. He assisted with one TD. I don't think he played in any regular games.

If Cincy's OL plays as horribly as they did last night, the same will probably be said of AJ one day.

Had I not heard them say Rutledge during the game, my guess would have been Todd.

If memory serves, we went from Jeff Rutledge to Brodie - late seventies to mid 2000s - without putting even a back up QB in the NFL.

My apologies to Jay Barker. He did play with the Packers for a while.

If Brodie would've ever lifted weights he would've been the answer to this question. He had the football smarts and arm talent to be a productive starter. His slight frame and the worst Oline in the NFL at the time was a perfect recipe for injury after injury. Aj will be our next qb to win as a starter. He'll start at least 1 game this year and he will win.

He tried to gain size and weight and just couldn't do it. I had several classes with him and we talked a good bit over our first couple of years in school, and it was always an issue for him. They had him on a special diet and everything, just never could bulk up (I probably should have taken him to my grandmother's house, I'll take a bit of blame).

I still remember the combine that year and Vernonia Davis saying the hardest ball he's ever had to catch was Brodies pass (in a good way).... said it hurt his hands for a minute haha
