What the hell happened? Yes, I do blame it all on the left tackle void but, I am a dreamer.

Was it all directly related to having a hole blown through the whole left side of the line or was it more involved than that? Andre's backup, who was it? Anyway, he was also injured.

But, don't ever mention this in polite company or they will tell you that an offensive left front means absolutely nothing to a team and 'Bama fans whine and use excuses.

My response is that excuses were created for a specific reason and are good to have in your toolbag.

By this definiton Andre had nothing to do with it. I would say that a lot of it had to do with us loosing our swagger. We where hurt really bad and Utah took complete advantage of it right out of the gates. Along with really bad tackling.

Alabama did not play Utah. A team that had been torn asunder played Utah and they had the same colors as Alabama.

Andre didn't play defense, and our defense was on its heels the whole first quarter.

offensive problems that you mentioned also put our defense on the field more(which really lacked depth all yr) and because of this , the Utah coach who runs the same offense as Florida ,scipted ever thing that worked for Florida and used it against us . We finally ajusted and slowed it down. But we experienced the same thing in 4th quarter with Florida, when our defense had to stay on the field more their were problems

Some good points are being brought up again by others. Hope the team and staff are able to find some positives in those last two losses--some things that will make them better & stronger as a team in 2009.
