What are you hearing there in the heart of R-kansas. Went to woopig and it is like all message boards looking for a coach. Full of all kinds of nonsense, but those guys sure can fark. Most credible rumor I have heard here was on the radio and I saw it on Texags as well is that Mike Leach may be headed there. Any validity to that?

Well until about 7:00 PM they were practically sure that Tubby was headed there, and they liked that idea. Now I keep hearing Leach, Paul johnson, or that guy from Boise (name escapes me.) Most do not want Leach.

Some still contend that Butch Davis will leave NC for Ark, but I doubt it.

It's kind of interesting seeing them going thru the same stuff we have too many times. Today is only 24 hrs since Nutt left and some are already wanting to know what is taking so long. haha

Rob, I was looking at one of the Hog sites and Lane Kiffin is the hot name on there right now. Well, along with Tubbs, Davis, and some others, but Kiffin is the name that is being talked about.

I guess there's talk that Kiffin wants out at Oakland and so does Oakland. I don't know how anyone there would know that but I thought it was interesting that his name keeps popping up a lot. FWIW his father was the DC there back in the 70's under Holtz so I guess there are some ties.

Would be something if it actually happened.

My thought is that the Hogs will end up with a coordinator or mid-level HC, or possibly Tubby (assuming they'll pay) due to his ties there.

Yeah, I forgot about the Kiffin thing. Not surprised he may want out of Oakland. Working for Al Davis has got to suck.

I really don't know what to make of the Ark situation. I don't know that they will pony up the kind of coin it will take to get a "name" out here.

Well, I think it's Spurrier's job. No, wait. That's right. Spurrier is waiting for Les Miles to head to Ann Arbor so he can coach the Cajuns. The same Les Miles that is undefeated in regulation this year! (I can't believe he had the balls to say that on Tuesday!). But wait, isn't Ferentz taking the Michigan job. Oh, that's right. That was just a hoax which is a good thing because the Iowa job would have been open and I heard they opened a new golf course new the U of I. You know what that means, don't you!!!!

They need a new golf coach!!!

Tubbs and AU are saying they will announce later to a contract extension for 3 years. I am happy, he needs to get a taste of losing in the iron bowl and it is coming

I caught a report on Sportscenter a few days ago about the elder Kiffin isn't getting his contract renewed from Tampa(?).

A father/son combination in the sidelines would make an interesting story line.
