ATLANTA -- Both No. 1 Florida and No. 2 Alabama had walkthrough practices this afternoon in the Georgia Dome, where they will meet Saturday for the Southeastern Conference Championship.

What a difference there was in the two teams.

The news media was only allowed to watch the first 10 minutes of each "practice," so take this for what it's worth.

But Florida players were loose during their walkthrough, chattering throughout. Star quarterback Tim Tebow ran pass routes. Coach Urban Meyer changed from his suit to shorts and a T-shirt and spent some time on the field talking on his cell phone.

Alabama players were all business. They weren't necessarily tight, but they immediately broke into groups and quietly went about last-day preparations. Alabama coach Nick Saban still was dressed in the suit that he wore to a luncheon and news conference, and he spent some time looking at notes.

The same thing last year. Florida coming out very loose and we were all business. Don't know which is better, or if there is even a "best" way to approach the game. I'm guessing that whatever fires up Tebow is the way that they prepare.
