🏈 Think we'll see a Bama vs. Oklahoma bowl game?

I just read somewhere that they could play Boise State in the cotton bowl.

Alabama I dont give a shit if your defense could not stop a head on charge from Stephen Hawking. I dont care that you have a kicker that cannot make a field goal from 20 yards away. And I dont care that your star QB is out for the season.

If you lose to Boise Fucking State, a team that plays on a blue field at a stadium named after a grocery store chain, then you deserve to be sent to the college football gulag.

If the Sooners don't slip into the #4 slot, there will be a lot of interest in matching Hurts against Bama I'll bet.
If OU doesn't make the final four they will be in the Sugar. The only way for Bama to met OU will be if both LSU and UGA are in and even then there's a decision between UF and UA on which team goes to the Sugar. That decision will boil down to the final rankings of the committee.

Why wouldn't Bama get a invite to the Orange? Or is the Cotton Bowl have 1st choice over the Orange.

This is decided by rankings as well. The ACC will have a team in the Orange. Their opponent will be the highest ranked team from the B1G, SEC, or Notre Dame.

Assuming LSU is in, UGA is out, and Bama is ranked higher than UF we'll see the Tide in the Citrus against a B1G or ACC team.

@JoseyWalesTheOutlaw,

Sugar: The only way Bama is there is if they are ranked higher than UGA. UGA has one loss, Bama has two. This week they will not be ranked lower than Bama. Will they drop below Bama after the SECCG? I doubt that happens. It's part of the SEC tie in with the Sugar Bowl. They take the highest ranked SEC team that's not in the playoffs.

Orange: The only way Bama is there is if they are ranked higher than any team from the B1G. That's a real possibility. Minnesota is the closest ranked to Bama as of last week. They lost. That leaves Penn State (#10 last week) or Wisconsin (#12 last week) and one of those two would have to jump Bama after the final rankings.

Both invitations for teams from the SEC are pre-determined based on rankings and conference tie-ins.

Do you think UGA will drop below Alabama after losing in the SECCG?

He's saying Penn State is ranked higher than SEC teams.

Utah in the Cotton where the PAC doesn't have a tie-in with that bowl? Their #2 team goes to the Alamo Bowl.
