📽 /🎵 They are 're-booting' The Rockford Files with David Boreanaz in the lead role.

Can they not come up with anything original that's worth a damn anymore?
A re-boot for a show from 50 years ago is one thing. When you see a network debut a show that's a hit and the next season you see another network debut a series with the same premise? Then, two years later you have three choices all on the same night, same genre?

Those execs deserve bullets. 🙃

Wife and I were talking the other day about the last decent movies we'd seen and she mentioned Twisters and Maverick. I asked her what about something that had to ties to before 2000 and we couldn't really think of anything. I'm not against bringing a reboot back but have something new once in a while too. I liked Sons of Anarchy, Yellowstone and Landman for the first 2 or 3 seasons, mayor of Kingstown and Tulsa king were pretty good but I think all of the Taylor Sheridan series would've been better served if he hadn't had so many irons in the fire. TV shows, music, and movies all mostly suck now imo. Hell maybe I'm just becoming an old prick.

This is a little weird. Within the past week I watched Maverick again after reading an article about the best westerns in the last quarter of a century. It was a unique take on an old western genre. Good flick.

SOA was the subject of the first thread (here) I remember going into "depth" in a series. @Brandon Van de Graaff and I talked about that series for a few years.

I don't think things suck. I do believe it takes some effort to find things worth watching. I believe that's largely due to there being so much you have to wade through. A lot like choosing a restaurant: what, when, where. Australia has some good programming.
