I just found it amusing to see it on the official site for UA. If you didn't know any better you'd think it was a race in the SEC.

IIRC, I think both Bama and UT are in the B12, as the only rowing teams from the "SEC charter members". Maybe another one or two and most of the B12 teams have rowing. I read up on it a few years ago. Slept too many nights since then and too lazy to research it again,

They are the only two from the SEC. As I recall they are called "affiliate" members along with Old Dominion. I know of a few schools in the Big 12 that have rowing but it's not all of them: the two Kansas schools, WVU, Texas, and Oklahoma make up the conference if I'm not terribly mistaken. Pretty sure Texas won it last season but don't hold me to that.
