Cool link. You're right, the pictures of the stadiums were pretty nice. Funny how the shot they chose of Michigan was an empty stadium. I would imagine that everyone of those places can get rockin' on a Saturday afternoon.

-BAMA is at #8
-PENN ST shown as largest
-BALL ST the smallest at 22,500
-Only 4 are greater than 100k (PSU, UM, OSU, UT)
-Nice photo gallery of the ten biggest
-BDS is the best (that part I added) :D

Idaho's holds only 16,000

Yeah, Idaho's is small. And it's a domed structure to top things off. I'd seen pics of it years ago.

I sit (err, sit) corrected. Also FIU is ~18k as well. But even more so

It looks like there is construction going on at Michigan. Are they adding upperdecks or press boxes? Or is that just an old pic. :?

i've got a question about are stadium expansion. i know that they put off the recent expansion, and that will make the south endzone look like the north endzone. my question is, after the next expansion, what's next? where else could they add on after the next one, or is that going to be it?

Excellent link! I've heard before that after they close in the south endzone they may dig out the field and lower the level of the field and put in a new section of lower level seats. Its pretty interesting that spots 10 to 5 range from 91,500 to 94,113 and then number 4 (Tennessee) jumps up to 102,038. Does anyone know what our capacity will be when they close in the south endzone?

the only thing i think they might could do is fill in the holes between the north deck and the east and west decks, where they did not join them bc they were not level with each other(of course this is after the south expansion is complete). Other than that i dont think they can do anything else. I just want to get to 100,000 personally.

This is a really good link with what appear to be up to date numbers to me. I'm kind of confused because they have BDS as larger than Georgia's barn and Texas only seating 82,000. I'm confused about this.

I think Michigan is adding boxes and had to tear out some seats. That dropped them behind Penn State in capacity. Didn't Tennessee tear out some seats a few years ago and drop it's overall capacity?

Tennessee narrowed their seats a few years ago and gained several thousand seats.

Lulu and Junior now occupy six seats. Each.
