🏈 (Split from TE thread) Tight end production versus running back production in the passing game

Yeah looks like he wants to keep combining the Michael Williams types with the OJ's for particular roles. I just really hope we see OJ lined up in more spots this year to take advantage of the mismatches down field. There isn't a secondary in the country that cover the amount and different types of weapons Alabama has in the passing game right IMO, it surpasses even 2014. Now we just have to find that guy that can consistently get the ball to them. I still think its Barnett or Cornwell but looks like its gonna be Bateman for now.

One of the things pointing out about Bo are his hands. I've heard, read, been told ... you name it, about how good he is out of the backfield.

We saw the offense have a pretty decent year with the TE position. The number of receptions wasn't breaking any records but you can't ignore the 600 yards. However, from the running back position we saw very little. It was total of about 300 yards with Drake and Henry, and a lot of those were those where plays people were bitching about ... you know the story.

If we jump back to 2010 Mark has that 300 alone. Dial with about 40% of what Howard had this year.

No complaints here, mind you, but it gives me the distinct impression one is sacrificed for the other.
