| FTBL South Carolina Homecoming will be Bama.

Know how Mississippi state feels now
Still remember that long long trip back from Jackson 1980. Coach Bryant was mad as hell on that Sunday Show. I went to Jackson twice that year with Bama beating Steve Sloan and the Rebels earlier in the year.

I think you might be still able to watch that Sunday Coacg Bryant show. I watched several years ago. He was heated.

I was at Clemson then. And caught hell from my fellow students. Some msu grads.

Had just beaten ...a better than msu ....southern ms team bad.... one of those. Who can figure games

And lost to ND later. And had nd grads in sessions...

I hate ND

How did John Bond and the Bulldogs pull off that upset? I remember the game vaguely, but i distinctly remember them breaking Bama's 28 game winning streak.

Don’t remember much except for the fumble by Don Jacobs at the goal line at end of game. Had he given ball to FB, we win. MSU ran the wishbone and knew how to defend it. Probably the 2nd most infamous game UA has lost by
6-3 score.

The bulldog hc was emory ballard. Who came up with wishbone at texas as an assistant

Bamas points came on a fumble by msu right at end if first half. Msu fumbled. Bama kick a fg

At end of game. Bama drove all way into msu 10. Rule at that time was crowd had to quiet down when officials instructed if offense couldn't hear signals... strange rule. . Jacobes couldn't hear signals. And officials couldn't get crowd quiet. Drive ended at 1 when bama ran up middle for no gain on fourth down.

But. Msu fumbled ball but Bond recovered. Game over.

Wasn't televised but listened.

Ended bama and bears 26 game win streak

Of all my years of watching his show from 1958 thru 82 I don't recall Coach Bryant EVER speaking this much at the introduction of how the game went.

Give it a spin and see for yourself.

It took everything we had to beat them in Tuscaloosa this past season. And Deboer celebrated like we had just won the national championship

One thing that should help going forward is the post Saban depression should lessen. A lot of butthurt players transferred when Saban retired a year ago and some of the ones who didn't were using that as an excuse to lollygag. As more players who never knew the Saban era come in and the remaining ones begin to cycle out, the picture should become clearer. Plus, we've finally reached the end of anybody being able to exercise their "free Covid year". That was mishandled from the start and did more harm than good
