TUSCALOOSA -- Alabama will make its fifth appearance of the season on CBS at 1:30 p.m. CST Friday when it visits Auburn.

If you were assuming that would mean Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson in the broadcast booth, you'd be wrong.

Craig Bolerjack and Steve Beuerlein will describe the action for the network.

Judging from comments I see on this blog and other interactive sites, that would be good news?

Lundquist and Danielson will be in Gainesville, Fla., for a 2:30 p.m. CST game Saturday between top-ranked Florida and Florida State.

Lundquist and Danielson will call the Southeastern Conference Championship Game between second-ranked Alabama (11-0) and top-ranked Florida (11-0) at 3 p.m. CST on Dec. 5 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

I can take Verne a lot better than I can Danielson. G.D. acts like he knows everything and if you remember, he was medicore at best as a pro player IMO. I hope they enjoy their weekend in FL.
