Why did we not continue to run the ball? The gator stop in the fourth quarter proved to be the difference in the game. Why?

Our most successful drives were the ones we threw the most. The first TD drive was one run and one pass, the second was seven passes and six runs. We had to pass to be successful.

In my opinion that is why we lost. We went away from our game and fell into the passing game trap. We ran the ball ONE (1) time in the fourth quarter which was a draw on 2nd and 10. The last drive in the 3rd quarter we ran the ball nicely down field and got near the 10 and started throwing it again. We dominated the 3rd quarter by establishing the run and then absolutley blew it in the 4th. When I say 4th I mean the beginning of the quarter. We could have won in my opinion if we would have stuc with the run. We got away from what got us here and we lost to a great team. Still a great year for us.

We averaged 4.1 yards per carry. We should have pushed the peddle to the floor. We usually have been doing that towards the end of the game because the defenses are at their weakest. We decided to pass and failed. Nothing against John Parker I just think we got away from our game.
