🏈 Some film vs Auburn.

Late on showing what I wanted to show because I haven't had time to do so until now. But here's a clip of Qua Russaw and why I still think we should move him to ILB.

We move him in the box, which you'll see us do a lot in Wommacks defense. He likes to do that with his jack backers when he sees certain formations. Anyway, just look at how Russaw diagnoses this play down and makes a play. Read step, shuffles then scrapes downhill to the ball carrier while keeping his shoulders squared to the LOS the game whole way through. He also made another play in this same formation earlier in the game as well. Also made a great open field tackle in Cobb whenever Wommack had him drop to the quarter of the field from his jack position. He had a few pressures, but all his plays came from working in space.... not pass rushing. And it's been that way since last year. I bang my head against the door whenever I start to thinking about this and how he could probably play himself into being a higher draft pick if he'd at least play ILB more. Look at Jihaad, jalon walker last year, Leo Chanel, hell we did it with rashaan Evans to when he was here. All these guys were able to play both positions, but all thrived once they were put into playing ILB more and allowed to play in space and cover. This doesn't mean we can't use him in certain packages or situations, but pass rushing is not his strong suit. He thrives more playing inside as a box backer.

I have beat this point to death, but I just think we're waisting what he's really good at doing.

Well shows how much I pay attention because I thought he was a LB.
