Bama wins it 8-1 to improve to 24-0 on the season. A little bit of a ho-hum game for The Tide. Wells HR'd, her 9th of the season. Pupillo later HR's, her 9th also. Then Wells later hit her 10th. Pallozzi got the start and went 3 innings. After the first 3 Samford batters reached in the 4th, Moten came in and put the fire out. She went 3 innings without giving up a hit (earning her 10th win) and Johnson pitched a clean 7th.
Up next for Bama... 3 game series at Rhodes this weekend against #6 Arkansas.
Yeah the schedule has been pretty light. Got a couple decent wins (FSU). Those 2 wins don’t look as good now as they once seemed. SOS is at #50 now.
Arkansas this weekend. We’ll get a boost in SOS.
By their usual standards, it's started weaker than normal this year. But as a whole, compared to all others, it it's not really "weak". Their SOS overall is 30th, which right now is 10th out of 15 in the SEC. Going into this week, KPI (a metric used by the playoff committee) ranked the Bama wins over FSU (currently 9th in RPI) as the most impressive in all of college softball thus far (they take into account home/away, margin of victory, etc...).
Yeah I was looking at it and thought it actually went down after playing ole miss. The on3 had it at 30 also, then after playing ole miss and Sanford they listed them at 50.
Maybe I read it wrong
