🏈 Senior Bowl Day Two: QB Standouts

It Takes Eleven

Quoth the Raven...
Staff
From the Sporting News' NFL scouting analyst Russ Lande:

Code:
Rhett Bomar, QB, Sam Houston State: He showed a good arm, making all the NFL throws. He clearly was the best North quarterback.

John Parker Wilson, QB, Alabama: Wilson was the best QB on the South squad. He showed the strongest arm, was technically sound and was consistently accurate.

His knock on Harrell was lack of arm strength, and lack of accuracy on the part of Pat White.

RTR,

Tim

You may all call me crazy but JPW will get a call on day 2 in the draft and will have the opportunity to hang around in the league for 8-10 years like Jeff Rutledge did.

Not if he continues to have showings like he had yesterday...INT into triple coverage, missing wide open receivers with under-thrown balls, didn't show a lot of speed on his passes, etc.

Not a good day, at all.

The wind was blowing hard yesterday, and that didn't help him any, but he had an awful practice. Hopefully, he can rebound today. Hardly any wind to speak off this afternoon, so that should help... some...

That sounds a lot like his first 3 season with the Tide. ;)

His durability alone should get him a shot. I bet we miss that down the stretch.

Tell me about it, he's been hit over and over.

Shoot, I still vividly recall him wrestling a fumble away from a defensive end.

That was against the Gators in 2006. Took the ball away in the dogpile.

J.P. just threw a beautiful fade pass to the end zone for a td in the Senior Bowl practice.

Would have loved to have seen more of that touch with Julio and his hieght.
