When you blinked ...

Over the last week we've upgraded the core platform here. With that comes some new security protocols.

These will be configured over the next day or two ... maybe three depending on how sidetracked these days become with "real world" stuff.

Nothing about the site should even blink. However, as a warning:

Right now, members are verified through several things including pretty intensive spam control system. The spam triggers/controls are being updated to a two-step verification/authentication process.

It'll be set up for "opt-in" or "opt-out" so if the site is bookmarked on a work computer and you want your account completely secured ... here ya go.

It'll also put one more safeguard up against spam (fully realizing you'd have to think about the last time you've seen any, or IF you've seen any.)

IF anything pops up, shoot me a note. The easiest way is the "Start a Conversation" hyperlink right under my username.

UPDATE:

About 40% through this particular modification.

As you can see (or maybe if you've noticed) there are changes in personal banners (see Philly above this post.) These will denote a few things like permissions, what security protocols people have been through, "newbies," etc.

The next you'll see will be Egan's. I'll be working on that later on today.

Some of you will be prompted with questions about turning on "Two-Step Verification." That configuration is located in your profile, under Personal Details, in the left hand sidebar under Settings. Members of Egan's will automatically bypass this filter. Members of Egan's and Harry's can turn it back on IF you choose to do so. (Don't be handing out the ol' "someone took my password/I've been hacked." :devil: )
