You misunderstood my post. Bama making that kick was far from a given that day as proved by the other three missed field goals. I need to revise nothing. Conspiracy theories always go to the losers.

I'm not sure it was a bullshit flag. Even if it was, bullshit flags happen every game. We won the game. Trying to negate/qualify why we won is petty. I could point to 3-4 Auburn plays that might have put the game out of your reach had they gone our way. They didn't and we found a way to win anyway.

When someone gets flagged for "false start" and no one moved... bullshit flag... I haven't tried to negate anything, in fact I've said pretty clearly at least a dozen times Alabama didn't deserve to win the game because they had plenty of opportunities to do so and didn't. And if you've ever seen me post I dont bitch about the referees very much, but that was horseshit. There was at least 4 or 5 situations were Alabama could have put it out of reach too...

Its the next movement in college football. The emphasis is on the passing game. In the 70s and 80s we saw running games dominate, but the height of their glory (the wishbone) went away when OU and Nebraska started evolving their offenses. Alabama, in my mind, runs a more traditional power running game within a pro-style offense. College football is evolving to even more passing than pro football.

Okay, I violated what I said about reading your posts, and I have to disagree. Bama's last two championship teams were as balanced run/pass as can be. This year's champion could very well be a run first team. I don't call that relying on the pass, in fact just the opposite.
