Saban, who had just finished his second season with the Crimson Tide, told his Alabama players he would be appearing in the movie as LSU's coach.

"It's a historic event," Saban said. "I told our players at Alabama that it was a historic event and this happened when I was at LSU. I did this in honor of the Tuohys and Michael, even though he didn't come to LSU or Alabama. We have great fans at Alabama. Hopefully, everybody is big enough to understand that this film is documenting a true story."

I remember when CNS did the filming of this and spoke about why he did it. He also addressed the media/fans and tried to "soften the blow" in case of any animosity on our part.

Everybody knows that CNS coached at LSU and was fantastic there. Everybody knows that he is now at Alabama and doing a fantastic job. I choose to view this the way that Kiffen is trying to be at UT. Anytime our coach is in the national media then it is a good thing. The only difference between our coach and the ass-hat to the north of us.....is that our coach believes in positive publicity as opposed to any publicity.
