uhhh i cant lie, this has me worried. Coach Saban has ALWAYS released scrimmage stats. r they that awful that Coach Saban is holding em back? :dazed: I know what he said but it still has me worried.

There is any reason to be worried. I don't think you can base this decision on past precedent since Alabama has not had this close of QB competition since Saban has been on the Capstone.

Starters being "named" last year did nothing but create complacency. In '09, everyone competed for a starting position every week. It all went to hell in a handbasket when Mark and TR were giving themselves nicknames.

I think its just smart business to not give the media some numbers at this point. If numbers are released, next thing you know is the media has every "expert" from here to wherever giving their 2 cent worth on who the starting QB should be. Last thing Sims and McCarron need is this competition being played out in the media like a circus....i.e. ( Tebow / Orton ) Nothing good can come from it.
