becoming prep offense guru.

After serving as offensive coordinator at the University of Kentucky, Franklin decided in 2000, after a falling out with head coach Hal Mumme, that he wanted to be his own boss.

And now a falling out with CTT . . . hmmmmmmmmmmm :?

This remark really gets me:

"College coaches have called," he says, "but I enjoy working with high schools. It keeps me young, and the coaches don't think they know everything."

You know this old article has got me thinking.

Who is really to blame for Franklin's firing ? Tuberville? Franklin? Or others?

This article is three years old but it mentions the strained relationship between Franklin and Mumme when TF was at Kentucky. (Looks to be a pattern here)

Then you have Franklin makes a remark like this:
"College coaches have called," he says, "but I enjoy working with high schools. It keeps me young, and the coaches don't think they know everything."

If one carries around an attitude like that, how do you expect that person to be as an effective assistant?

Not saying that Tuberville shouldn't shoulder some of the blame for Franklin's dismissal, but I do wonder if he should be taking all of it as it appears right now. :?
