I disagree. He had TONS of field on his left. Why did he continue to run TOWARD and FACING the player.I am not saying he should be fired but the guy was MORE than "just bracing for it". The first time I saw it I could not believe my own eyes. No matter what the outcome, the ref clearly tackled the guy. There is no telling what his intent was (if any) but he did tackle the USC player. Watch it again man, he LUNGES at the player before the player is even within a foot of him. He waited, sized up and tackled a player on the field while having plenty of room to avoid the collision. It is inexcusable.
