Auburn vs. Alabama, Nov. 27
Why is the Iron Bowl such a big deal when even if Alabama loses to Auburn, it will still play for the SEC championship? Because this game represents fixing a problem that has plagued the Tide for five years -- finishing strong. Alabama dropped its last two regular-season games in 2004 and '05, then its last three in '06 and '07. Last year, the Tide finished the regular season undefeated, but lost their conference championship game and the Sugar Bowl. Alabama needs a win here, or else the team could once again become a head case in postseason play.
