Upon rewatching the game, I realized something: We have two different offensive schemes, one for each QB.
With Coker, it's more Pro-style passing downfield. With Bateman, it's the Blake Sims Malzahn package we saw late last season.
I'm starting to wonder if this QB "competition" isn't actually morphing into a 2 QB system where we can alternate our offensive scheme based on what's working.
I think moving forward, Coker will continue to be the default starter, but I think we might see the Bateman package come out in each game to test the opposing defense.
Personally, I think it's genius and makes our offense more multiple and dynamic.
What would y'all think about a 2 QB system, and which style do you prefer?
