Good for his family! Good to see Favre going in too. @planomateo you right Kenny should had been in years ago, Favre getting in his first time. Don't seem right to me.

Kenny Stabler joins 7 other former Bama players ( Don Hutson, John Hannah, Dwight Stephenson, Ozzie Newsome, Bart Starr, Joe Namath, and Derrick Thomas) as members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Bama trails USCw(12), Notre Dame (12), and Ohio State (10) with former players in the HOF.
I really don't either, it's just the way the HOF does the voting some get in on the first try, and like Kenny it took a while before getting into the HOF. He not around to enjoy it.
I find it interesting his daughters were releasing information (from his doctors) about CTE a few days before the voted was held. I find my thoughts drifting to suspicions of a bit of a "strong-armed" tactic. Cynical, I know. But, I can't escape wondering if a few of the voters thought about "we don't need anymore publicity about concussions" coupled with another year where they are hearing "why isn't Stabler inducted."
Fuck the committee, the only reason they finally put him in was his death combined with the CTE thing reported on OTL. Idiots run that committee just like the idiots that run the Rock and Roll HOF committee, ones that put ABBA in before actual rock groups/artists like Alice Cooper, KISS, Cheap Trick, Stevie Ray Vaughn, etc.
