šŸˆ Phil Steele has Oklahoma ahead of Alabama in his preseason poll. Easier schedule.

I can appreciate the sentiment @50+yeartidefan but this is the same song & different verse. We will have a great defense & we have an awesome kicker. I like our odds but I think it comes down to how well the OL & QB get things figured out.
And who stays outta trouble and who stays healthy and how the team leadership handles issues
We had great talent in 2010 and 2019... incredible talent. 2018 got blown out by Clemson. 2010 lost 3 games
2019 lost 2
2013. .... top rated kicker misses 3-4 FGs

takes a lot to win it all. And a lot of breaks alng the way

As stated above, it will boil down to QB play. Not very confident that he will be able to make the plays when it counts. Of course, I didn't really think Mac J would be what he became-the best QB in Bama history. Bama has the players, question is will they find the "one heart beat"?

He will. They'll let him loose enough to show you he can, but control the game pace differently this season.

He's had a great spring and even better summer to date. Let's not forget why we didn't see a lot of Bryce last season.

No spring. That's 15 practices, three scrimmages. Last summer he was doing well with his off season workouts with the receivers. "He's living up to his billing was what I was hearing last summer. Word continues about his improvement and leadership.

We get around to the fall and he gets sick during fall camp. I know the number of days he missed was double digit, can't recall how many total. His first scrimmage, the last scrimmage. Now start adding all that together that he missed in 2020.

I see folks question Bryce Young. I seriously question whether Spencer Rattler is going to ultimately fill the bill for the Sooners.

All other being equal then yeah okie has an easier path but I am not sold on their offensive talent

They damn sure are talking him up like he's the 2nd coming. I've never been impressed with him, but the recruitnics and media love him.

I think our kicker will have a drop-off from last year. He may actually miss one.

I think Rattler is going to be fantastic. He has an incredible arm and is accurate.

Their offensive talent seems good - stacked at RB, excellent WRs, the best FB in the country, and a very good and versatile TE/H- back. Their OL should be very good - not the best they've ever had though.

I’m excited for the upcoming season but the covid ? will hang like the sword of Damocles over the season.
There is no reason for Covid-19 to be an issue with our players. They are all over 12 and are eligible for Covid vaccinations. There could be problems with the fans, because Alabama's vaccination rate is one of the lowest in the country. But hopefully, Nick has told his players, "If you don't get vaccinated, you don't play".

That's against federal law at this time due to its classification.
