🏈 Ouch! Oregon article summarizing Auburn

None of this is new to us. I just find it interesting an Oregon writer is writing about Auburn, Chiz and Newton. They still feel the loss apparently.

Its ironic they are going after Auburn for purchasing success... Honestly, where would Oregon be if it weren't for the support of Phil Knight.

While Chizik gets credit for purchasing recruiting Newton, to date, that seems to be his sole contribution (albeit a significant one) to Auburn’s success. While some may consider the statement that he only brought Newton to Auburn to be akin to “Bill Walsh only drafted Joe Montana…”, if Mississippi State had ponied up the widely-reported amount requested by Newton’s father, Cecil, of $180,000, we might be talking about a certain crystal football residing in a trophy case in Starkville, Mississippi.

Although Oregon is no johnny-come-lately in football (having played 116 seasons versus Bama's 117), they have played 69 fewer games than Bama and lost 150 more than Bama. This article is simply the contraption of a good, albeit disillusioned, writer. Although it's tempting, I don't attribute the misguided, logic-free premises of this article to be representative of Oregon football or Chip Kelly.

Otherwise it would have been written much more quickly, without a huddle, and in nike swoosh font.
