🏈 Ole Ball Coach Meltdown. He leaves presser

i would think that we would step down but it also isn't like they aren't competitive in conference play. They are, for the most part, competing well. They have IMO mostly line problems and could definitely use a change there in coaching, personnel or both. The defensive coord position maybe?

I mentioned that about Whammy ,simply because he is one of our own. I think Whammy got put in a bad situation going from a 4-3 to a 3-4 or vice versa this season and they don't have the personnel for it yet. What is the old saying? You can't make chicken salad out of chicken sh^*!

I think he made a mistake at the DC position. He knows it and anyone who watches them play knows it. It's not working. They've scored enough points this season to win games. Their defense is atrocious.

I don't think it is all on the DC. Spurrier elected to switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4. He did this following last season. He doesn't have the LBs to run that system. He must recruit to his philosophy. Whammy knows his stuff! He learned from quite a few good ones. Like I said before, you can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit! That is basically what Whammy has to work with at this time. Sadly, it will cost him his job because of the switch.

He's done more at South Carolina than anyone ever has. But, over time, everything reverts to its mean.

Doing anything at SC is more than before. In the same number of years as Bama football, they have one conference championship. That's it. They have four 10-win seasons. Four. It took them 90 years to get the first, and Spurrier got them the other three.

Does anything else need to be said...they made rings for winning 11 games in a season.
