The Crimson Tide is one of 14 teams in the field that features nine teams in Golfstat's Top 25 – No. 3 South Carolina, No. 9 Alabama, No. 10 Florida, No. 11 Texas A&M, No. 14 LSU, No. 19 Arkansas, No. 20 Auburn, No. 22 Kentucky, No. 23 Ole Miss, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

Eight teams will advance to the match-play quarterfinals Saturday morning, while four teams will improve to the match-play semifinals Saturday afternoon. The final two teams will go head-to-head in the match-play finals on Easter Sunday.

The team championship will be awarded to the winners of match play, while the individual medalist and runner up will be awarded based on stroke play.

Alabama has won the SEC Women's Golf Championship on three occasions (2010, 2013, 2016) and has finished runner up on six occasions. The Crimson Tide has produced one individual medalist Stephanie Meadow in 2013.

All three of UA's team titles and three of its six runner-up finishes have come in the last 12 years under head coach Mic Potter.

Last season, Alabama finished in seventh place in the stroke-play competition on a 14-under-par 850. It reached the semifinals of the match-play competition, falling to eventual-champions Auburn, 3-1-1.

The Crimson Tide can expect some incoming weather to begin this year's event, with chances of rain and thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday. The skies are expected to be sunny with a high of 78 degrees Friday, followed by a chance of more rain throughout the weekend.
