PEBBLE BEACH, California -- Alabama head football coach Nick Saban and former Crimson Tide golfer Bud Cauley finished tied for 23rd at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am after failing to make the cut following Saturday's round. The pair shot one of the lowest rounds of the tournament on Friday with a 61 but finished six shots off the cut line.
Throughout the week, Saban and Cauley were paired with Ricky Barnes and New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. Saban once served as a defensive coordinator under Belichik at the Cleveland Browns and the two have remained close friends.
During their coverage of Saturday's round, CBS showed one of Saban's better shots at the tournament followed by a brief interview conducted with Saban and Belichik during Saturday's round.
