2 things on Eddie... Bernard was rated higher by lots of teams, so him going before Lacy wasn't a shock... the others? Yeah. Lacy not running on Pro Day disappointed a lot of scouts/teams at the time and probably had a lot to do with his slide (though I think the combine stuff is way, way overrated).

I am really surprised they have slipped out of the first 3 .. Williams was predicted as a 2nd round pick.

My uneducated viewpoint:

Considering the shelf life of running backs in the NFL I can see why Monte Ball was chosen and this reason fits for Bell as well: 350+ carries on the season. The ol' "what about his injury history" has to be carrying some weight here.

I watched Bernard play last season. He impressed me as a solid running back.
