🏈 New jersey numbers

I hate the number 0/00
I see 00 and one of my first thoughts goes to Robert Parrish. I'm not a Boston fan, but there's nothing about his career I look at and don't have good memories. Heck of a ball player.

Players that wear "0" should be required to have the phrase "Attention Whore" where their last name would be. Shit is so fucking dumb and immature.
How do we define the difference between a QB on the roster wanting to wear #12? Or, a defensive guy wearing #54?

Calvin Ridley wore #0 in Jacksonville. I can't see "attention whore" with CR.

I just don't understand the complaint behind that. what's the difference from players wearing #1, 88, 99, etc? It's just a number on the jersey. As long you produce on the field, I could care less if you wear negative 4.
Change, gotta be. It's been in the last five years the NFL started allowing the number to be worn again. That rule, in my view, was nothing more than a glitch, an oversight. As I recall when the NFL made the rules about position players wearing certain numbers they didn't include the #0.

@TerryP Can you see the smoke?
Wildfires? I went out before the sun came up and the air smelled weird; not a brush fire kind of aroma. It's clear here. I understand it was hazy on the other side of the Cooper River this morning. IF I hadn't seen reports on X there's a good chance I wouldn't know about the story right now. I rarely watch local news. I did this morning and here's why I don't.

One report: don't use the lawn paper bags, don't clean up your yard of dead grasses and limbs...fire hazards was the warning. They said, use plastic bags (which won't be picked up.) The very next report covered the spring telling the audience "now is the time to clean up."

Two messages within two minutes.

Bright spot there is at least they’re not getting talking points from same source ala legacy media.

So if someone made out a check to you that had a 1 & 6 zeros behind it, you'd only expect the bank to give you a dollar?
No. The debate about 0 being a number is something you hear in midwit forums like Reddit.

Apparently some believe that 0 is not a number in the same way black isn't a color. 0 is supposed to represent the absence of numbers, and therefore isn't a number itself. Black is not a color but rather the absence of color.

Honestly I don't understand it myself. To me it just sounds like post modern thinking applied to mathematics.

I like what Saban said when the 0/00 number was first allowed on the field. “Zeroes don’t play for Alabama.”

This was gonna be similar to my thoughts as well. In life you hear "they're a zero", obviously meaning they're worthless. I think it looks dumb and is just an attention thing because it's different, more so than them liking the actual number. I was shocked Lawson took it when he did. He looked MUCH better with 32 on his chest and back.

Funny, because Excel doesn't show zero values unless you tell it to, ;) .

The guy who was the programming director for the local Fox affiliate wasn't complimentary towards the people he dealt with nor their feelings about the 'news.'

Weather? Go outside. If it looks like rain, then look at the times for the tide. Traffic? I still wonder about those reports; the practicality of it all.
