What is the latest updates on him? He was highly ranked coming out of high school but its kinda scary that I had seen rumors on woolly that the staff was not really happy with none of the quarterbacks.

I don't think unhappy is the right term... they may not be "sold" on any particular one yet and it seems like it may be a 'best of the worst' situation. I'm pulling for Cornwell so that we aren't having this same discussion next year with Cornwell/Barnett but if Coker gives us the best chance right now, put him in there.

Yeah he will RS. This year it's between Cornwell and Coker and next year between Cornwell and Barnette.

I would be surprised if Bateman doesn't transfer soon. Seems like Morrison in content with holding the clipboard and getting his degree.

CNS has shown that Bama can succeed with a first year QB, but it would be nice to have stability at the position for 3-4 years.

Strong source (privy to full practices) likes D. Cornwell to eventually take QB reins this year. Just isn't sure how long it will take.

That whole line of thinking is ass-backwards to me and not really a bold statement or insider knowledge. He is pretty much saying "I think we will lose multiple games by the midway point of the year and try Cornwell at QB at that point".

I'm thinking it means Coker is ahead of Cornwell today, but Cornwell is improving more quickly than Coker and will catch him. Sort of like when A.J. became the shadow backup during his redshirt year.

I was thinking along the lines of a competition the first couple games like in 2011, or he expects Cornwell to grab the reins sometime during fall camp. It looks like that's Chase Goodbread and John Copeland at WVUA's twitter. I don't think they'd just throw shit at the wall. I'm actually surprised they'd put something like that out at all.

My staff source is confident on how things are right now. Obviously not a fortune teller. But kiffin has said Coker is the choice now. We still have to see how they developed with their QB coaches and how they roll out in practice. Obviously like I did with blake I will know who gets the nod early. I will keep everyone in the loop on what my sources have. I even get play by play for scrimmages.
