Resignation Follows Turmoil
Lane Kiffin announced today that he has resigned his offensive coordinator position at the University of Alabama, citing continual and constant abuse as the lead contributing factor in his decision.
"It's not right," Kiffin told a small gathering of reporters this morning. "Most of the people, even if they try, don't even spell my name correctly."
But the riff appears to be even deeper than misspellings.
"I've had people call me 'Lame'," the tearful coach opined. "Some call me 'Kitten', you know, using a play on my last name. It's hurtful."
The news conference was halted several times as Kitten, rather Kiffen, shit, Kiffin composed himself.
Alabama and Saban now begin their search to fill the position. Luckily, the search begins on April Fools Day. Have a good one.
