Guys, I have been reading some of the responses about Julio Jones and can't really determine if some of you are serious or just joking around.

We all know Julio is going to quite likely be a fantastic player and leave a mark at Alabama before his playing days are over. That is "almost" a given.

On the other hand, isn't is a bit silly to even be mentioning a Heisman trophy for a freshman player who hasn't even seen the field?

Come on, everyone, if he gets 3 touchdowns and 175-215 yards receiving tomorrow, sure, talk about the Heisman all week long.

I am afraid that to be speaking of a Heisman at this point for an untried freshman simply seems ignorant. I know that Mark May planted that idea in many people's heads when he started spewing about it a couple of weeks ago on ESPN, but use your brains.

Julio isn't going to win the Heisman this year, it just isn't going to happen. Well, it could happen if Julio came out and single handedly shut down our opponents and quelled their will to fight us with his awesome displays of athleticism, but let's get back to the real world.

Heisman - To Hell With It
SEC Championship - Let's Fight For It

I don't think a soul is serious about Julio having a Heisman run...quite frankly, I don't care if any Bama player ever wins one.

That said, I see most of the comments just in a pre-game, joking manner about all the hype he's getting nationally.

That is sort of what I thought also, Terry, just wasn't quite sure.

Same reply here as TPs...we are all just having a little fun.
Nobody has even thought of him in the heisman and I could care less.
But, if he becomes a threat on the outside and down the field it should help loosen up the defense and create more running lanes for our good RBs.
That in turn would make us a better team....and that, my friend, is all I am concerned about.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!

He can't win the Heisman this year because they are going to rename it "The Julio" this year. But I do expect him to win 4 "Julios".

I sort of thought the 4th inning, golden glove comments would have cleared any doubt up about the seriousness of those posts.

I immediately recognized the over the top embellishments but, there seemed to be quite a few what I thought were serious comments also.

I realize now that the majority of you were just goofing around.

I'm telling you he will get 700 yds vs Clemson. Cy Young winner, and might even walk on water as well!
