Yep, I knew something was amiss.

ESPN is really having a problem with double #'s. Did the same thing last season with Julio and someone else on the 'Bama team.

Was it ESPN last year? You are probably right.

But, same mistake. They were talking about Chris and an injury he might have sustained and saying "Is Julio hurt?"

Heck, now that I think about that...was it in ATL against Clemson as well?

Effing morons.

I also find it amusing they spent almost TEN minutes covering Notre Dame on Sports Center this morning, and LESS than 2 minutes covering the Alabama / VT game.

ESPN: Watch Us! We pick Sides!

If I'm not mistaken, Verne Dumbquist and Gary "I-think-I-was-a quarterback" Danielson also had similar problems with this . . . but then again they had problems with a lot of names and numbers except for Tim Tebow's.

Corso has his shtick—the head gear on the GameDay set.

Holtz has his shtick—as does Mark May—and it's the Notre Dame stuff every weekend. No better example that May picking Nevada...that was ONLY to get Holtz riled up.

Just learn to get past it is how I see it...

Heck, it's about like hearing Rocky Top during a UT televised game. I couldn't tell you how many times I muted the TV, but I'm sure it was something that the producer realized would emotionally involve rival fans.

I hate the double numbers. There are plenty of numbers to go around why not give them all different ones.

It would be one thing if it were players that would never see the field but the numbers 8/8 and 4/4 are in on almost every play.:headscratch:

Yeah, those guys don't bother me. It's the Sports Center coverage, or lack thereof that I find bias. Saying little to nothing is as bad, in some cases, as saying things that aren't true, regardless of the teams.

For what it's worth, I am trying to get past it. After 32 years I am slowly improving.

I do too. At first it was okay because there were only a couple that had the double numbers. Now it seems there are several that have doubles.

Special teams is the only thing that gets me confused with doubles. On offense and defense it does not bother me.
