| FTBL JPW - remains confident

He should remain confident, however, it was obvious he was hesitant to pull the trigger when he needed to late in the game. Croom should have given him the game ball afterwards.

He looked like a pro against the Vols. Hopefully he can regain his composure for the last couple of games.

What are the chances of Star being the starter next season? Slim to none?

I don't know as much inside scoop as some do on this board and the other, but I think JPW is our guy again for next year. Although I wouldn't mind playing Star as a true freshman. Watching his highlights reel is nice but he airs/floats the ball out for the receivers just like you know who  . I'm sure the coaches will have him trained soon enough but I don't think we'll see him play next year as a starter. I'm sure those 'in the know' will pipe in.

that allows him to stand up in the face of a furious blitz

Isn't standing up in the face of the blitz part of the problem? I saw JPW throwing off his back foot several times (not refering to the end of the half INT either)

For his part, Wilson said he did try to throw it away, but he "couldn't get enough on it.

Excues me? If he were throwing it away, why didn't he throw it for the sideline? He was trying to make a play.

I agree not to mention a little too much "we" for me. :?

That's what I had a problem with. There were several defenders in the endzone, and ZERO on the sidelines. If he were throwing it away, he should have aimed towards the sideline. He saw the TE and tried to make a play.

Take the sack, get the three. I mean I want to rag JPW he has been off at times and played great against tenn. It seemed he had finally found his rhythm but now his mechanics are flawed again...he has evidently become gun shy, again(but I really dont understand this because he took a beating against LSU and stayed in the pocket). I really hope to see him play at his best the next two ball games. The team needs him to perform and I am sure he knows this as well

So, you're calling him a liar? I guess that's your prerogative.

Throw it to the sidelines and you get an I.G. call - spot foul and a loss of down. Granted, it would have been better than what actually did happen.
