šŸ“” It never stops with Baylor. Two more football players accused of sexual assault in Nov. of '17.

Is it your suggestion the football program be killed because of the actions of a few? Forget the ones who've done things correctly?

The actions of a "few" add up to a pattern of increasingly worrying incidences of sexual violence.

It's not just one guy accused of assault every few years, or a few guys in one year. This is a pattern of sexual assault as well as rape accusations. From 2011-2014 alone, there were 52 reported rapes involving 31 players and 17 cases of sexual/domestic violence involving 19 players. This is not a small issue and it goes far beyond the NCAA.

The rape scandal alone should have been enough to warrant major punishment (in terms of athletics at least), but IMO the NCAA is a joke and is too afraid to dish out big punishments after Penn State.

There is a serious problem with Baylor football (and elsewhere at Baylor) in regards to sexual violence, and a slap on the wrist isn't going to change this toxic culture.

I get what you're saying here, Jill. But, the NCAA screwed up royally by sticking their nose into Penn State's business in the first place. That's the reason they (NCAA) were sued by Penn State and it's the reason they backed off the sanctions they'd imposed. It wasn't, and still isn't, under their purview.

Baylor is no different. It's not in the NCAA's "wheelhouse." Far worse things have happened at Baylor within their athletic programs; namely murder. Still, that's a situation that's not in the NCAA's wheelhouse (even thought part of that revolved around NCAA violations.)

If you want to point your finger at Title IX rights being ignored and the need for that to be addressed I'm right in line with you.

What a time to have kids and grandkids in school. What a mess brewing in these universities. Title IX isn't solving much. It certainly makes students much more cognizant of what sexual abuse is by the rules Universities present to the students but to read these guidelines is to read almost insanity. Universities trying to police this stuff is proving to be an exercise in futility.

OK I get that it's primarily a Title IX issue. But when football players, NCAA student athletes, are given special privileges by having their Title IX investigations swept under the rug or with minimal to no punishment at all, shouldn't THAT warrant the NCAA stepping in?

I'm seeing it as the same as academic misconduct. A teacher gives a football player favorable grades when he otherwise would be academically ineligible. This is an NCAA issue.

Yet, when a Title IX official gives football players favorable outcomes on rape/assault charges, this is NOT an NCAA issue? Makes no sense.
