Former Alabama great, OL Bill Searcey, and one of Bear's boys, recently stated on a podcast that he thought Jonah Williams was perhaps already the most accomplished OL we have as a true freshman. He thought Jonah was outperforming LT Cam Robinson. Alabama has already named Jonah Williams player of the week 3 weeks of the first four weeks of the early season.

People are raving about how he is mastering his techniques and fundamentals and he's strong and smart, loves the weight room. Searcey said he thought the right side of the line is every bit the measure of the talent we have on the left side. Rushing stats seem to prove that true.

It Looks Like Alabama Has Found It's Next great OL

the false starts have plagued us for a bit now... seems like it is usually the left tackle and one other dude... can't remember now

The whole O-line did much better against KS since we got into much better rhythm and started rushing the football. But everything takes time and JW is getting it for the first time. Amazing really how well he graded out Saturday. We will see who ends up signing for next year's team, but it is comforting to know we have a stud who can slide into LT if need be.

Yes he is. The false starts have come for Robinson, Taylor. Has anyone noticed his speed ? On an interception I noticed him running with skilled players. Glad he has two more years.

Cole Cubelic has raved about Jonah since Day 1! Cubelic, while a former Barner, he studies Oline play and he loves Jonah. He thinks he is better than Cam right now and he still thinks Cam is pretty good, even with the false starts. Jonah plays with great technique and has a nasty streak as well.

Yup.

You NEVER see him take a false step.

Never.

The kid is special.

Andre Smith was pretty good in his own rite as a frosh, but Jonah has excelled far greater in such a short amount of time.

To find an 18 year old kid that is this much of a technician, playbook nerd, and film student is unheard of.
